Properly Measuring Pilings

Properly measuring your wooden piles will help us make sure you receive the right product the first time.

How to Measure for Pile Caps

Here are some tips for measuring:

Measure all the piles. Even though all the piles were probably purchased and installed at the same time, the measurements will probably be off by as much as 2-3 inches.

1) Most accurate way to measure is to use a piece of string
    Follow these steps

A. Wrap the string around the pole.

B. Lay string out and measure the length of the string.

C. Simplest way: USE CONVERSION CHART BELOW

     1.) Find Length of string and follow across for the Piling Cap Size needed for that length (Example: An 18-inch String is for a 6 inch Piling cap, using chart below)

OR
D. DIVIDE length of string by π or 3.14159 this will give you the
     diameter of your cone.

1.) For EXAMPLE. Length of string = 25 inches divided by π or 3.14159 = 7.95775 Diameter Which = an 8 Inch piling cap

2) Less Accurate way Measure the pile in both directions NORTH/SOUTH and EAST /WEST since piles are often not perfectly round.

For Example: A piling cap measures 8.2” North/South and 8.1” East/West, you will round up and SHOULD use an 8.5” piling cap.

How to Use Conversion Chart:

1.)          Click on this link for Conversion Chart and print.

2.)          Wrap length of string around your piling

3.)          Measure length of string

4.)          Find length of string measurement on chart.

5.)          Follow across and it will give you the piling cap size needed.

         (Example: For a 20” piling, using the chart you would need a 7” Piling Cap)

6.)          For your convenience, Put a tally or check mark for each piling needed for that

         size. Tally them up when you have measured each cap for the total of needed for

         that size.  Remember they may not all be the same size.

7.)          Place your order.

We offer a 30 Day warranty on all parts.

Please reach out to us by phone if the item does not fit or work. We have found over time that the reason most do not work or fit is because of the following:

1. Customer ordered the wrong part.

2. Customer was mistaken on their year, model, or make.

3. We shipped the wrong part to customer.

We HIGHLY recommend that you find the part number on your old part and compare it to the item you are ordering to make sure you are getting the correct item.

To Fix the problem we have a standard process to resolve the issue.

1. We will ask you for the make and model you are working on.

2. We will ask you if your old part has a number stamped on it. If so please provide to us.

3. We may ask you text or email a picture of both the new and old part. 

4. Once we determine the issue we will work with you to resolve the issue.

Resolution

If it was our fault we will make every effort to resolve the matter to your satisfaction. 

Our system automatically sends you an e-mail containing the tracking information as soon as your order is being prepared for shipment. Check your tracking link often for updates on the location of your package as well as the estimated delivery date.

Orders placed on Business Days before 1:00PM are shipped the same day.  Orders placed after 1:00PM are shipped out the following Business Day.

Orders are shipped by either the United States Postal Service (USPS) or by United Parcel Service (UPS) or Fedex.

Business days are considered Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and US Federal Holidays.

We do ship on Saturdays or Sundays.

For USA  customers we offer free standard shipping (ESTIMATED 2-5) days except Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico which will take an ESTIMATED 3-7 days.  We also offer non-guaranteed expedited services for an extra cost as well. You can contact us  via email, CHAT or phone to review the shipping options and cost. Currently we do not offer any guaranteed next day air services.

For international customers we offer Fedex or USPS shipping (ESTIMATED 6-14 days). You can add items to your cart to review the shipping options and cost. If for some reason you can not add to cart please use the contact form or chat.  Please note that we cannot be held liable for customs delays or issues once the item has been picked up at our facility.  Unfortunately the respondsibility for resolving that will on you as the customer as we will not be aware of all the laws and regulations of your country of residence.

International Buyers – Please Note: 

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges.

Southern States and Most East Coast are an ESTIMATED 1-3 Days, Midwest ESTIMATED 2-4 Days, West Coast ESTIMATED 3-5 Days, These are estimated arrival dates for our standard free shipping service. 

NOTE: These are estimates. As an example if you order 4 PM Saturday your package will not depart our facility until Monday afternoon. That is when the estimates will start.

You will have the ability to select a faster shipping service if desired at checkout. Currently we do not offer any guaranteed next day air services.

We ship internationally to most countries. If you attempt to check out and are unable due to shipping please use the contact us so we can assist you with the checkout.

Please note that once a package leaves our facility and becomes part of the mail-stream of the courier we cannot be held liable for the delays, customs, duties or fees caused by the courier.

The customer is responsible for all taxes, fees, VAT, and duties.

If you wish to return an item, you will have to send the item back at your expense unless it was an error caused by us.

Please note that ESTIMATED delivery dates are ESTIMATED.  They are not GUARANTEED dates.  Unfortunately, packages can get delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Sometimes due to weather, and other times due to package volume at your local USPS hub. Please allow an additional 1-2 business days for your tracking info to update.  We cannot control delivery times or delays once the package has left our facility as it is no longer in our hands and in the hands of the shipping carrier.

We recommend you do the following these steps first:

1. Please check with other household members, around your property or your neighbors to see if the package is there.  In our experience, it can sometimes take an additional 2-4 days for packages to find their way to your address even after it states that it's been delivered.

2. You need to contact your local Post Office and provide them the Tracking number and ask them to to help you locate your package. You also need to ask your UPS/USPS delivery person if they put the package in a different location IE lock box or if they had a substitute delivery person on the day it was delivered.

3. Contact us with order number and tracking.

4. We will contact our local USPS representative to initiate an investigation and have them provide us GPS coordinates of where the package was delivered.  Each package when scanned delivered locks in the GPS coordinates of where it was delivered.  Please be aware that if the investigation is completed and it shows it was delivered to your location based on the GPS, USPS may flag your address if there has been a history of packages going missing, possibly holding your mail and requiring you to pick it up from the post office instead.

4. If the package was mis-delivered according the USPS GPS coordinates the postal carrier should recover the package and deliver it to you. If they do not, please contact us so we can escalate the issue further.  If the package shows as it was delivered to correct address then you will need to file a theft report with the police and your local USPS office.

5. If Expedited shipping was chosen, please contact us in regards to this issue.  

Unfortunately Jspmanufacturing cannot be held responsible for packages that go missing once the tracking info shows that it's been Delivered.  Once the package leaves our facility and the shipping carrier takes possession of the item, we have no control over the package and we apologize for any inconvenience that occurs because of the mishandling of the package by the shipping carrier.

Return Procedures

We want your return experience to be as smooth and efficient as possible. Please review the following guidelines to ensure your return is processed quickly and accurately.

Return Window & Refund Timing

Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery. Refunds—less original shipping costs and applicable return shipping fees—are typically issued within 1–3 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.

Returns received after the 30-day period may, at our discretion, be refused, subject to a restocking fee, or approved for a partial or full refund.

Restocking Fees

Restocking fees ranging from 10%–50% may apply depending on the condition of the return and the circumstances. If the return is the result of our error, any applicable fees will be waived.

Please note that for lower-cost items, shipping expenses may significantly reduce the final refund amount.

Item Condition

Returned items must be in resalable condition. Items that are damaged, heavily used, or otherwise unsellable may be denied or subject to up to 50% deduction from the refund.

How to Return an Item

To avoid delays, please follow these steps carefully:

1. Include Your Invoice
Provide a copy of the original invoice included with your shipment. Please write a working phone number on the invoice along with the reason for the return so our team can contact you if needed.

2. Ship with Tracking and Insurance
We strongly recommend using a shipping method that includes delivery confirmation, tracking, and insurance. This protects you in the event the package is lost or damaged in transit. Refunds cannot be issued for items we do not receive.
